School Public Safety Officer of the Year Named The School Public Safety Department has named Patrol Officer Greg Hall as Officer of the Year for the 2000-2001 school year. Officer Hall is one of three daytime patrol officers in the district. He serves mainly the north side schools. Officer Hall has been with the district for nine years. Each year at this time the School Public Safety Department announces this award. Nominations are submitted by school administrators and are often accompanied by letters from parents and students. The award honors the recipient for their efforts to fulfill the department's mission statement: To provide the district's students, faculty and staff with a safe and secure learning environment. Officers are recognized for their efforts to achieve this goal through preventative practices, professional service, showing a humane and caring approach and exemplifying fairness, honesty and integrity. Officer Hall received nominations from several of the elementary school principals he works with. He succeeds Officers Ed Goodwin, John Marshall and Doug Smith in receiving this prestigious award. |
