Weller and Flintco host 'students at work' day
May 3, 2007

Weller Elementary School third-graders partnered with Flintco Constructive Solutions for a "students at work" day on Thursday.

The program was organized by Flintco and Weller principal Marilyn Monroe to allow students to be part of the renovations at-hand and to educate them about the construction of the addition to the school and safety.

Three third-grade classes participated in "students at work" by alternating through three stations arranged by Flintco. One station included a tour of the construction site. All students were provided with hard-hats and measuring tape to take measurements of the perimeter of one area under construction.

The other two stations were in classrooms at the school and involved a lesson about measurements and their importance and safety on the job site.
