Making Christmas dreams come true
December 20, 2007
All 170 Boyd Elementary School students received a free bicycle for Christmas Thursday courtesy of Central Assembly of God Church, the school’s Partner in Education.
Preparation for this all-student gift took almost a year and principal James Grandon conceded, “it was tough to keep it a secret.” Based on the looks of surprise on students’ faces, it was a secret worth keeping.
Aaron Sachs’ and Associates Law Firm provided free helmets to students who lined up outside the school for a makeshift bicycle parade at the end of the school day.
“We really wanted to provide that wonder of Christmas morning this afternoon in school,” said Grandon.

Tears of Joy
