2006 Bond Project Overview
On April 4, 2006 Springfield Public Schools' voters approved an 18-cent increase in the district's debt service levy.
The increase will allow the district to generate $96.5 million to address important issues in 25 district schools, including air conditioning, school overcrowding, school repairs and renovations, and upgrades to three high school science and technology labs.
The district is moving forward quickly with plans to complete all school projects on budget by the end of 2009. Timelines will be updated as additional information becomes available.
