Vision: To build a community where everyone he serves will be able to find truth which will strengthen their belief, hope and unconditional love of self and others.

Values: He values the freedom of the human spirit and will make every effort to protect the human spirit from control. He will not let anyone hurt self or others through slander, jealousy, deceit, cheating, stealing or abuse through drugs, alcohol or sex.

Dr. Norman Ridder became Springfield Public Schools' 13th superintendent on July 1, 2005 coming to the district from Colorado Springs School District 11 where he was superintendent from 2000 through 2005.

Dr. Ridder has 39 years of professional education experience. He's been a teacher, coach, principal and superintendent. In Springfield, Dr. Ridder has established himself as a person very much into values and a strong advocate of life-long learning.
