Counselor’s Corner

March 2012

My name is Casey Massey and I am excited to be your guidance counselor! This will be my third year with Springfield Public Schools. I am a full-time counselor for the district and will work at Bissett Elementary and Study Middle School. I will be at Bissett Monday through Wednesday, and Friday each week.

A little about myself…I am married to my best friend, Matthew. We have one son, Cannon. I have two dogs named Jett and Mantle. I have a cat named Rookie, too. I am a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoy JETS football as well.

Students will be able to say one thing they feel lucky about and receive a clover to wear!

Bissett’s HABIT Program:

HABIT is a school wide incentive program to encourage students to excel in Bissett’s five core responsibilities. These responsibilities are: Homework, Attendance, Behavior, Initiative, and Travel. This plan reduced behavioral referrals and increased attendance last year!

TUESDAY IS OUR HABIT DAY, WEAR A BISSETT SHIRT!!

Summer school classes begin June 4
Students can continue their learning in June by enrolling in summer school classes or Artworks. Summer school will be held June 4-29. Online registration ends May 24. To register, between May 29 and May 31 call the summer school office at 523-0011. You may also register at the summer school site on June 4 but class availability may be limited.
