About Delaware

  • From our principal

  • My family is of utmost importance to me! My husband and I have been married for 12 years. He is a Greene County Juvenile Officer. He has a great passion for helping children turn their lives around while keeping the Springfield Community Safe. I have three children who are my greatest blessings. My eldest, Carley Beth, is in fifth grade at Republic. My middle child, Morgan, is in second grade. Cooper is 1 ½ years old and keeps us on our toes!
  • I spent 8 years teaching grades Pre-K, 1, 3, 4 and 5. I also had the privilege of serving as the assistant principal at Wilson’s Creek for one year. I obtained my BS in Elementary Education from Drury University. I completed my Masters and Specialist Degree in Educational Administration through Lindenwood University. I am currently working on the completion of my doctoral program in Educational Administration. My passion is serving students and their families.
  • It is wonderful to be a principal and watch children learn! I look forward to coming to Delaware each day. Working with the fantastic students, parents, and staff who are a part of the Delaware community is a blessing.

Delaware Elementary is a very special place for learning. Located in a beautiful neighborhood with big trees and older homes, Delaware is home to kindergarten through fifth grade classes, a Wonder Years Class, and serves as a Springfield Public Schools site for several district programs for children with special needs. The children and adults at Delaware learn how special each individual is as they experience school activities together and grow to respect people with all levels of abilities.
