Registering for Kindergarten
Springfield Public Schools will have early registration for kindergarteners for the 2012-2013 school year March 8-16.
Schedule your kindergarten screening now
Prior to enrolling in kindergarten for 2012-2013, a child must complete a developmental screening conducted by Parents as Teachers staff. Parents should call 523-1160 to schedule the developmental screening.
To enroll:
- A child must be 5 years old before August 1 to enroll in kindergarten.
- Early registration usually occurs in March. Contact the school your child will attend to find out the date and time.
- When you register your child, bring the following items:
- Your child's birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Social Security number
- Proof you live in your attendance area (a utility bill, lease, or something similar)
