Hi!  My name is Crystal Magers and I am thrilled to be a part of David Harrison Elementary School!  I graduated from Missouri State University in 2006, with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education.  I also obtained my certification in Early Childhood Education.  I received my Masters degree in Educational Administration in May, 2010.  I began my teaching career at York Elementary in a First Grade classroom, and have been teaching Kindergarten for the last four years.  I am very passionate about teaching young children and have a true love for learning.  When I am not in my classroom I enjoy spending time with my husband Ryan, two daughters, Nyah (10) and Joslyn (5) and my son, Tristan (6 months)!   My family is truly my greatest accomplishment and joy thus far.  I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful family!  I also enjoy running, swimming, canoeing, reading, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, music and anything near water!  I am so excited to teach the children in Southwest Springfield and build relationships with each and every family.  Teaching is my passion and there is no greater joy than seeing a child learn to read and write.  My goal is to give every child a positive, fun experience in Kindergarten while showing them how smart they are!  I can't wait to get to know your family!
