About Miss Heaston
Hello! My name is Lindsey Heaston, and I am so excited about teaching Kindergarten at David Harrison Elementary! I graduated from Evangel University with my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I was able to complete my student teaching and teaching practicums in the Springfield School District and love being a part of this community.
I have a passion for teaching and absolutely love teaching Kindergarten! It is so exciting to see all of the growth that takes place with each student throughout the year. I expect great things out of all my students and love to watch as the students succeed as readers and writers for the first time! I believe that every student has the ability to learn and succeed at school and my hope is that I can foster a desire for lifelong learning in all of my students.
I spent most of my growing up years in Tulsa, Oklahoma and still like to visit frequently. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee or spending time with friends and family.
I feel so honored to be teaching at Harrison Elementary, and I look forward to getting to know the students and their families at this amazing school!
