Growing up I loved school and learning and have wonderful memories of teachers who made a difference not only in my life but the lives of two of my brothers who have special needs.  These memories greatly impacted my decision to go into the field of education and I have to say that I have gained so much over the years from both my students and colleagues.  My classroom teaching experience included teaching each grade level Kindergarten through 5th grade, as well as multiage classrooms.  My current role in the Springfield system is that of Instructional Specialist and allows me to work with nine different elementary sites in supporting their School Improvement Plans and Professional Learning Goals.   My husband, Steve, and I have three wonderful teenage daughters and our lives never experience a dull moment.  I continue to be a life-long learner and am nearing completion of my doctorate in Instructional Leadership.
