Student Teachers & Counseling Interns
Springfield Public Schools welcomes student teachers and counseling interns during the fall and spring semesters. Student teaching and counselor interning are an important phase in the development of future teachers and counselors. Springfield Public Schools welcomes colleges and universities to collaborate with our staff to train and nurture future educators.
After your college/university has made arrangements with SPS for you to be a student teacher or counseling intern, please click on the appropriate link below and follow the mandatory steps.
Student teachers must complete the Student Teacher Information Sheet and submit the requested documents before they begin their student teaching assignment.
- This form must be completed and sent to Laura Mothersead in the Human Resources office, along with all other requested documents.
Counseling interns must complete the Counseling Intern Information Sheet and submit the requested documents before they begin their intern assignment.
