Checking grades and homework assignments online will now be possible for parents of Springfield Public Schools elementary students. Seven Kickapoo High School students who competed in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Region 10 STAR Event competition Feb. 1 in Bolivar will move on to the state competition in March. Full story
A generous donation from Springfield’s Walmart stores will give 155 Springfield Public Schools students the opportunity to Shop with a Hero Saturday, Feb. 11. Walmart made the $15,500 donation to Care to Learn, which helps meet hunger, health and hygiene needs of area children. Full story
