The Springfield school board adopted legislative priorities at its Oct. 19 meeting. The priorities summarize the district’s position on a variety of issues including state funding, charter schools, and safe and healthy schools initiatives. Board members also heard a presentation on the quarterly report. During his report, Superintendent Norm Ridder stated that it will likely be 2012-2013 before the district changes the start date to earlier in August because of scheduled completion dates for air conditioning projects.
