February 13, 2012
The Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP) has selected three Springfield Public Schools administrators to be recognized for their leadership capabilities.
Marilyn Monroe, principal at Weller Elementary, has been selected as this year’s Distinguished Principal from the Springfield District of the MAESP. Monroe, hired by SPS in 1988, is one of 12 principals from MAESP districts around the state who will be recognized for their achievements and honored for the importance of their role in achieving quality education.
Adam Meador, principal at Bingham Elementary, and Andrea Fraser, assistant principal at Wilson’s Creek Intermediate, have been selected as this year’s Exemplary New Principal and Outstanding Assistant Principal, respectively, from the Springfield District of the MAESP. Meador, hired by SPS in 2005, and Fraser, hired by SPS in 2001, are receiving this recognition based on their outstanding performances in the demonstration of skills that reflect the best in educational leadership.
These three individuals will be recognized Mar. 10 during a reception and banquet at Tan-Tar-A Resort at Osage Beach. The event will be held in conjunction with the annual MAESP Spring Conference.
