Tuesday, May 1

Students will begin class with daily geography questions. See me if you are absent to get these questions and answers.

Students will also be starting a project on Rome. This will be their study guide and their test, all in one. We will just be setting up our paper today.

We will also be reviewing Greece with a Smart Board activity.

Wednesday, May 2

Students will work on their ancient Rome project. We will talk about the geography and the definitions of important terms we will be using during this unit.

Thursday, May 3

Any student who has not completed their essay may do so today. Since the band students are out, we will be watching a Jeff Corwin video on Namibia.

Friday, May 4

Students will start the day with daily geography questions. Students will also work on their ancient Rome project.

Monday, May 7

Students will begin the day with daily geography questions. See me if you are absent for the questions and answers. Students will double check their spiral to make sure they have all the questions and answers for their test Friday. Students will complete two sections of the ancient Rome project. The objectives for the project today are to understand the legends of how Rome began and to understand how Rome became a republic and what made Rome strong.

Tuesday, May 8

Students will continue to work on their ancient Rome project. The objectives for today are to understand how Rome's government worked.

Wednesday, May 9

Students will be watching a video that covers all aspects of ancient Rome. Students will be taking notes (answering questions) while they are watching the video.

Thursday, May 10

Students will complete their Rome project. Objectives are to understand that Rome's republic was shaped by a struggle between the wealthy landowners and regular citizens and to understand how Julius Caesar seized power and made reforms. Students will also list the ten achievements of Augustus.

Spiral Test: Friday, May 11

Monday, May 14

Students will be reviewing for the end of the year test tomorrow. We will be discussing the key points that will be on the test. Students will also be completing their ancient Rome project.
