Mrs. Cory Sutherlin, Kindergarten
I have been at Portland for thirteen years now. This is my first year teaching kindergarten, and it has always been a goal of mine. I taught second grade for the past 7 years, and taught fourth prior to that. I believe that every child can learn, and I strive to help every child reach his or her full learning potential. Students at Portland continue to amaze me year in and year out. I love Portland Elementary, and am happy to call the staff, students and community my family away from home.
I love to learn, and strive to spread that love of learning to all of my students. I have lived in Springfield longer than any other place. I call it home and consider myself blessed to be part of the Portland community.
Today is a great day to learn something new!
