I have been in education for almost 20 years. I began teaching Language Arts and Social Sciences at the high school level. I have also taught these subjects at the middle school and Jr. high level. I moved to the Springfield area in 1998 to complete my Master’s Degree in Reading. I have taught in Springfield for the last 10 years as a Reading Specialist/ Reading Recovery teacher.
My husband David is semi-retired and works part time for the Missouri Department of Conservation at the Andy Dalton Shooting Range. We live on a farm and raise pure bred registered dairy goats. At this time, we have about 35 goats on our farm along with cows, horses, chickens, rabbits, pigs, and miscellaneous dogs and cats. We are in the process of adding a fruit orchard (apples, pear, and peach trees) to our already large garden. Much of our garden is devoted to herbs and heirloom vegetables.
In my “spare” time, I (of course) love to read. I also enjoy just staying on the farm, working in the garden, and being with the animals.
