I have been living and teaching in Missouri for 3 years now. For two of those years I have taught kindergarten here at Portland Elementary. I believe that giving students a strong foundation at the elementary level is the most important step in their future success. I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with my bachelors in Early Childhood Education and am planning to begin my master’s within the next few years. My husband and I have lived in Springfield now for 3 years. Much of our spare time is spent working in the church where he is pastor as well as preparing for our first child whom we are expecting in early June. We also have a golden retriever, Solomon, who keeps life interesting for us.
