Wonder Years Preschool Program

Wonder Years Program Description

The Wonder Years Program is a district-wide free academic preschool program that prepares your child for in kindergarten. The program emphasizes language development, literacy, math, and social interaction. Supplies are provided, however transportation is NOT provided.

Wonder Years Eligibility

Children living in the Springfield Public Schools attendance area who will be four years-old before August 1 and will attend kindergarten the following school year are eligible. If your child has NOT been screened, contact Parents As Teachers to schedule a screening time at 523-1160. Enrollment into the program is based on the screening. A screening does not guarantee acceptance into Wonder Years. Students with the greatest academic needs will be placed first. Spots for children are not "held" due to high interest in the program. Enrollment forms will be mailed to families at the end of May. Once we receive enrollment forms, if your child is accepted, you will receive an acceptance letter in June.
